- Advertising. It makes us desire what we don't have and undervalue what we have. 90% of American CEOs admit that it woud be impossible to sell their products without advertising.
- Easy access to credit. Used to help people without enough income to buy what they can't afford.
- Planned obsolescence. This is the ultimate weapon of consumerism. Product lifecycles get shorter and shorter, forcing the disposal and replacement at ever increasing speeds.
