Somehow related to what John Maeda was talking about when he said "technology is with us so we can be more human", here we have Microsoft's vision on "how future technology will help people make better use of their time, focus their attention, and strengthen relationships while getting things done at work, home, and on the go".
There is a big bias towards business-centric scenarios in the video (the main protagonist is a woman going away on a business trip) with tons of bar charts, spreadsheets, powerpoint presentations, etc. The reason is that the video was produced by the Microsoft Office division. The consumer-centric scenario can wait.. or may be done by another company.
